Introduction
Theatre 118 is a fringe theatre in Glasgow, established in 2025 and now based in Port Dundas. We bring the boldest, most exciting new theatre and performance being made in Scotland to the stage, at prices everyone can afford.
We believe brilliant theatre should be affordable to see and to make, and that too many artists in Glasgow are shut out from getting their work staged. That's why we give independent artists the space, support and freedom to create ambitious work, breaking down the financial, class and institutional barriers that too often stand in their way.
From new writing and experimental performance to comedy, poetry, musicals and everything in between, we're here to champion Glasgow's thriving independent theatre community and introduce audiences to brilliant work they might not see anywhere else. We are committed to Pay What You Can tickets for every show, so nobody is priced out of going to the theatre.

Our stage is home to an eclectic programme of theatre, comedy and live performance, showcasing established talent alongside exciting new voices.
Supporting Independent Artists
We believe that making theatre shouldn't depend on how much money you have, who you went to uni with or whether an established institution is willing to give you a chance.
Artist Development
Through workshops, scratch nights and development opportunities, we give artists the chance to experiment, develop their skills, test new material and connect with other theatre makers.
Our Impact
During March - December 2025, Theatre 118 made a significant contribution to Glasgow's theatre scene, providing support to an underserved community of artists.
